The Diploma of Accounting is nationally recognised course. This course is structured to provide students with a range of specific accounting knowledge and skills such as maintaining accounting systems, maintaining internal control systems, preparing financial statements for a reporting entity, preparing tax returns, reporting on business performance and preparing management accounting reports. This course offers a useful and practical qualification for students interested in a career in Finance, Accounting, and Commerce. Students will also develop employability skills required by industry such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving and self-management. This qualification is made up of core and elective units. The course is delivered over a year which includes 40 weeks (i.e. 4 terms) of teaching and 12 weeks of holiday.
