The Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping is nationally recognised course. This qualification reflects accounting job roles in financial services and other industries requiring accounting support functions. This course is structured to provide students with a range of specific accounting knowledge and skills such as operating basic accounting functions using computerised accounting systems (e.g. MYOB), performing basic accounting functions such as entering transaction into journals and posting them into the ledger, and other basic accounting roles. Graduates will also developed employability skills required by industry such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving and self-management. This course offers a useful and practical qualification for students interested in a career in financial services sector other industries requiring accounting support functions. The course is delivered over a year which includes 52 weeks (i.e. 4 terms) of teaching and 12 weeks of holiday.
